Lesson Introduction
Teacher will begin with vocabulary questioning of students. He will place up to all the vocabulary from the unit up on the board, then by calling on students, he will see how well they remember their vocabulary from the unit. After that the teacher will lead the students to the computer lab.
Vocabulary
The vocabulary from the lesson will be gone over for the class intro.
Content Delivery
Students will use online interactives to learn about World War 2. The teacher will put the link up on the board for the multiple different sites that the students can use during lesson and for the homework. First students will have to go through the BBC Website. The link for this can be found below in the Resources sections.
After finishing this site, students will be allowed to move on to the next site. Addicting games will be a simulation game for them to play. They will be allowed to play this game for about 10 to 15 min.
Please have them move on to the final site, Triple A, in which they will play the Risk type strategy game for the remainder of the class.
The content will deliver itself mostly through the website, you as a teacher might have to go around and scaffold.

Student Engagement
Students will, with a partner or by themselves investigate and play the online interactives put on the board by the teacher. Students will use their vocabulary to help them understand the material and increase their knowledge about World War 2, its effects, and how the United States were involved in it.
Lesson Closure
To end the lesson the teacher will first give homework. This will be that the students need to go home and explore the two more sites, these are; Holocaust era in Croatia, and Attack on Pearl Harbor. These can be found on the playing history site at the bottom. Students will then do a half page write up for each item. Explaining what they learned, what was new to them, what was old to them, and what they thought of the information.
Make sure and click on Holocaust era in Croatia, an Attack on Pearl Harbor.

Assessment
Formative: the formative assessment will be the scaffolding the teacher will do while students are engaging in the interactive. Making sure they are keeping themselves on content. Another formative will be the vocabulary questions at the beginning of class introduction.
Summative: The homework write up will be the summative assessment, the teacher can either have it be Credit/No-credit or grade on a writing scale. Either way this can be used to indicate a students learning through the lesson.

Accommodations for English Learners, Striving Readers and Students with Special Needs
English Learners will take advantage of this because they can go at their own pace when reading and will be more advantageous with the simulation. Striving readers will have plenty of practice through the reading and in game reading they can do. The vocabulary will also help them. Special needs will be given the links so if they need to they can do these at home on their own time.
